Also, they describe what each island was like, how the people acted and where they were. For example, when they arrive to the firs island they are greeted by people that were naked, seemed very poor and quite friendly. They offered their items in exchange for what Christopher Columbus and his crew had. They told the crew about other islands also. On some of the other islands they reached people would run out into the water, saying god sent them and shower the crew with gifts, food and water. 21. In the four days of "the voyage of Christopher Columbus" we see the many adventures of the colonists. This story is about Christopher Columbus traveling on his three ships in search of land. Once he hit land he noticed the people living there were naked and poor looking. Him and the others on the ships used this imagery to assume the people were illiterate and stupid. Because of this they manipulated the people on the land so they would have a better chance in finding gold. Soon others came on ships and started to run the natives out of the land.
